چکیده

The great increase of the number of users requires efficient management of the spectrum. In hierarchical cellular systems based on CDMA, FBRA algorithm is proposed to allocate frequency spectrum more efficiently. This algorithm lends frequency spectrum of macrocell to microcells when mass hot spot occurred. We analyze the interference to signal ratio and reverse link capacity in case of using the proposed algorithm. Based on the result, Algorithm performance is evaluated in view of blocking, the handoff refused probability, and the spectrum efficiency. Numerical result shows that the proposed algorithm can increase the capacity and solve a mass hot spot problem.

Fast Algorithms for Resource Allocation in Cellular Networks

We consider a wireless cellular network where the channels from the base station to the n mobile users undergo flat fading. Spectral resources are to be divided among the users using time division multiple access (TDMA) in order to maximize total user utility. We show that this problem can be cast as a nonlinear convex optimization problem, and describe an O(n) algorithm to solve it. Computatio...

A DS-CDMA Cellular System Using Band Division and Channel Segregation Distributed Channel Allocation

In DS-CDMA cellular communications systems, the single frequency reuse can be utilized. Since large other-cell interference is produced, the well known soft handover or site diversity must be used. If the single frequency reuse is not utilized to avoid the other-cell interference, we will face the frequency allocation problem, similar to FDMA systems. In this paper, a DS-CDMA cellular system us...

Frequency Reuse Efficiency of A DS-CDMA Cellular System Using Band Division and Channel Segregation

Abstract In DS-CDMA cellular communications systems, the single frequency reuse is utilized and hence large co-channel interference is received from other cells. If the single frequency reuse is not utilized to reduce the other-cell interference, we will face the frequency allocation problem, similar to FDMA systems. In this paper, we divide the available wide frequency band into several narrow...

Jointly power and bandwidth allocation for a heterogeneous satellite network

Due to lack of resources such as transmission power and bandwidth in satellite systems, resource allocation problem is a very important challenge. Nowadays, new heterogeneous network includes one or more satellites besides terrestrial infrastructure, so that it is considered that each satellite has multi-beam to increase capacity. This type of structure is suitable for a new generation of commu...

Dynamic resource allocation for CDMA-TDD indoor wireless systems

Future wireless communication systems are expected to provide a broad range of multimedia services that have a significant traffic asymmetry between uplink and downlink. The code division multiple access time division duplex (CDMA-TDD) system is a promising solution to cope with the problem of traffic asymmetry. However, the TDD system is subject to inter-cell interference compared to frequency...
